Generator Installation - Sierra Electric

Generator Installation

Are you protected from power outages caused by severe storms? Many of us don’t realize how reliant we are on electricity until the power goes out. If lighting candles and praying that the battery life in your phone lasts the night doesn’t sound fun, then you may want to have a standby generator installed at your home. By doing so, you’ll have enough electrical power to have working lights, refrigeration, heat and/or air conditioning.

How do backup generators work?

Standby generators are designed to provide your home with constant electricity in time of power shortages or failures. Generators are connected to the home wiring system through an automatic transfer switch. Stationery generators come with an automatic power monitoring system. As soon as there is a disruption in power, the generator automatically starts to provide power and switches off automatically after normal power is restored.
